Hi, I'm Deborah Marsden.

As a female baby boomer I've experienced all sorts of challenges while learning how to have a business on the Internet. The Internet poses many challenges for those of us who didn't grow up with Nintendo or anything more electronic than a calculator. I used to be scared to death to even touch a computer yet now I can't go without it.

I have learned a great deal and now want to help other women who may feel intimidated or unsure of themselves, yet  know having an internet business is what they want.

As an internet and internet network marketing coach I hope to provide support and guidance through your Internet business development.

The Economics of Working From Home Is One of The Greatest Challenges and Benefits of Online Business Opportunities

It seems like challenges and benefits should be mutually exclusive but this is not the case here.

Working from home can most certainly be a challenge. In the beginning if you’ve never worked from home that thought alone can be daunting. Questions like ’What can I do”, “How will I do it”, “Where will I do it”. “Can I make any real money”, “Is it a real job?’, “Am I disciplined enough to work from home?” “How much time will it take for me to begin earning money?” ”How much will it cost to set up my home business?” ”Are there advertising costs I need to consider?” Do I have to do my own accounting and taxes?”

The economic challenge of working from home in any online business is start up costs, and the fact that unless you actually work for someone else and get a weekly pay check, then waiting for the money to start coming in can be a nail biting experience.

On the other hand, the benefits are very appealing. You can ‘be your own boss’, earning potential in most cases is not restricted, flexible hours, no need to worry about the cost of fuel, more time for the family, no day care, no travel or commuting expenses, no junk food or lunch purchases, tax benefits of a home business. When you travel you can take the job with you. “Have laptop will travel”.

How Do The Economics of working from Home Measure Up to Working Out of The Home?

There are many things you can think about here.

Working Out of The Home

Most people, who work out of the home have a traditional job, complete with a boss and a weekly pay check. Of course there are entrepreneurial business owners who are their own boss outside the home, but those types of businesses incur many more overheads and other costs than working from home, particularly with an online business.

If you have been used to working a traditional job away from home, then you know all about filling the car weekly and with the economic crisis happening right now, the cost of filling the family car has nearly become prohibitive.

If you have children who require day care while you hold down a job, well that can be very costly and is an expense that eats away at the take home pay. Then there are clothes, perhaps you have a uniform or maybe you supply your own wardrobe but cleaning bills and maintaining them can run up the bill.

What about meals? Do you pack your lunch or do you go out every day for a meal? You would be amazed at the amount you spend in a year in buying lunches in the course of a year.

The major benefit here is a weekly pay check...unless of course the financial situation in the world has impacted your job.

Work From Home with An Online Business Opportunity

If you are excited by the challenge of working from home and establishing a home business using the Internet, then taking a step in that direction is what you want to do. Look into the possibilities and think about what you will look forward to getting up everyday and working for yourself. Make the changes necessary and learn everything you can. You will find the right online business opportunity for you.
